Movies I’ve been watching these 2 weeks

1. Devil Wears Prada.  I read the book during the Summer.  The movie’s plot is not exactly like the book, but I guess it’s the hollywood way of Devil — not so devil. heheh.  Still, I enjoyed to movie, love both lead actresses. 🙂

2. Over the Hedge.  Uhm .. it’s okay I think.  Maybe I’m too old for cartoon.  But, some animation movies i.e. Iced Age, I still enjoy.  Let me say it again .. I’m too old for naive, nice, do-gooder, or straight forward movies.

3. Miami Vice.  Stay away from it at all cost.  Maybe I’m exaggerating, I don’t know. But I think it didn’t worth watching and not fun.  Normally, I don’t pay attention to camera angle, special effect or stuff in that sort. So, if I noticed some scenes as ‘bad produced’, then I guess it was pretty bad produced.

4. All the King’s Men.  Amazing in a drama way.  😉 Had to pay attention to understand detail of the movie.  I mean I played the movie while I ran in and out preparing my dinner and doing everything else.  But, I had to replayed it again from the beginning to understand why they did something in the movie, and I think it affected the later part of the movie. If you watch some part, you still undertand it but you just might miss some important points of it .. that’s all. Good movie though. 🙂

5. X-Men 3 – The last Stand  Wow. [this is the latest one I watch so it’s still fresh heheh] .. It’s an action movie, no need to think, not boring, some scenes cliche.  However, I enjoyed it, glued in front of the movie.

Plus, I got to see Hugh Jackman bare-chest in the movie. 😛

6. World Trade Center.  uhmm .. drama.  Side-note: read the movie’s synopsis first.  I didn’t.  So, I expected to see a hero & somewhat drama movie, but it was more of a drama sided. The movie choke me alright. [But, if you’re not ready to be emotional .. wait to see it later.]

7.  The Sentinel.  Good movie, Lots of stars. Not too exciting but nonetheless enjoyed it. 🙂

I think I watch this one the first among these seven movies so it’s kinda in a blur now.

ps. I think it’s good for me to jot this down coz I had trouble remembering the #6&7’s title If I waited for too long, I woudn’t remember any of them. ughh.

pps. all these photos are from Yahoo Movies. 😀

What does fun mean?

Sometimes, you just do not know or maybe just not so sure anymore ..

What it is that you do for fun, or just the sake of happiness.

Is it time to be certain again?

Long overdue .. pleasure to share.

My lil 'pod was getting some sunbath. ;) lol

Psst. Happy Holidays.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)

Just heard about the new book’s title.

They(the readers) said someone would die.
[Apparently, they said J.K. said so herself two people will die. :'(]

Why does someone have to die beside the bad guys?

Tell ya, as if the Order of Phoenix was not bad enough when he died. I was so heart broken and couldn’t believe it when I read the Half-Blood Prince. [The rest of the book was no fun to me. :(]

Come to think of it …
Ohh well since the last book released, it’s been almost two years already?
Time does fly, doesn’t?

Can’t wait to read how it’ll all end.

Hopefully, for me, it won’t be as disappointed as the Half-blood Prince. (fingers crossed)

Note: No official release date yet.
[Rumor has it …. July 07, 2007 or 07/07/07]

How many times are too many?

How many times do you listen to only one song over and over and have a feeling that’s enough i’m sick of this song?

For me, maybe 5-6 times and I just want to turn it off!

… doesn’t matter how much you like the song, though.

[Today I listened to a new song I like .. after repeating it several time .. I felt weird and uncomfortable .. weird, huh?]

I just wondered how some people can listen to one song over and over for a long period of time.

I remembered my bro(sorry bro!) did something like recording only one song on both sides of a tape cassette(it’s a long time ago before the great CD era :P) for a girl he liked.  Apparantly, other people did that too.  I was curious but didn’t ask him why though.

Maybe, girls dig it.  I dunno.

Maybe, I’m too easily bored. heheh

Protected: Perfecto?

Note: I might come back later to edit some detail.  I just wanted to put it all up here first so that I don’t forget something or lose the link.  no time to proofread so … please pardon my English. 😉

Well, we can’t have the first time twice, can we?

So .. there is nothing wrong for trying to have a perfect first time, right?

I was thinking what I should do with this first time ….

How shall I prepare for it?

Once it’s gone … it’s gone .. I can never take it back. *hmmm*

Having that thought and having to work on something else, I ended up walking out of my place without locking my door. (a no-no, heheh)

Well, the sky was not as nice as I wanted it to be .. but this can’t wait, I’ve been waiting for too long already!

I thought as I walked, what would be perfect for this very first time of mine?

Why does it have to be perfect?

Just special would do, I guess.

It’s getting cold.

I thought.

Get it over with, dammit!

So this is what I got.

The very first shot of my new camera

The very first picture from my new baby turned out to be “under.”  The actual atmosphere was not as dark as it seemed in the photo.  I forgot all the rules about fooling the camera and the flash was on too. 😦

So much for perfection and special lol.

If my boyfriend were around I would have taken his picture though, it might not be perfect but it’d sure be special alright. 😉

Anyway, after the first shot, I went straight home to test my baby (no name yet).

I wanted to test for dead/hot pixel.  What you need to do is downloading a program for dead pixel test, and take several shots of dark photos with different shutter speeds.

Exposure:  0.033 sec (1/30)

 Exposure: 0.5 sec (1/2)

Then use the program to analyze your photo to see if the camera has dead pixel or not.  Or how many dead/hot pixels it has for that matter.

Result for Exposure:  0.033 sec (1/30)

Result for Exposure: 0.5 sec (1/2)

I took 4 dark photos (with lense cap on), three of them don’t have any dead/hot pixel, only one has 3 hot pixels.

You can see all the print screen at my flickr

So, statistically speaking the camera should be ok?

Probably not. (1 out of 4 = 25%?? prffft)

And, I still can’t figure out(and don’t have time to) yet why the third shot has hot pixel?

uhm .. maybe I didn’t shield the view finder good enough at that shot?  I dunno.

So, I guess I have to live with it, non-statistically. 😛

It’s good to give

It’s doesn’t matter how much you give.

Giving is giving, and giving is good. 😀

Well, I have been a secret reader of this blog for quite sometime.

If you visit her blog, you’d know why I love reading her blog.

Especially if you’re a food lover.

Anyway, a group of food bloggers and chezpim are organizing a fundraising campaign called Menu for Hope III. The purpose is to support the UN World Food Programme, which provides hunger relief for needy people worldwide.

You can read the detail on the campaign here, and the prize of participating the campaign here.

[They offer lots of amazing prizes, so this giving is fun too!]

You can donate, or see how much they’ve raised so far here. 🙂
